Well...there are a few things. Drawing isn't the only discipline that's "creative." In fact, every line of work involves creative thinking and creative problem-solving.
That said, studies show that having hobbies in the visual or performing arts does correlate with higher achievements in other areas. My theory is the open-ended nature of these practices helps us have more creative connection-making in anything that we do.
